Do not mistake activity for achievement... Coach John Wooden

  • The 2008 season starts on the 17th of March. We will be holding tryouts from 17-20 of March. This will be an exciting season. We have our new field to practice and have games on to start the season. The spring sports will be the first full season sport to play on the field for all of their home games.
  • We will also have our own Archbishop Williams Lacrosse Booster program. Coach Joyce and Coach McClay have worked with the school to start a combined boys and girls booster's club. We will work the concession stand, sell Archies Lacrosse apparel and help support the teams efforts for the year. If you are interested in volunteering please Click Here and send an email with your name, number and what you may be able to help the booster club with.

News from the 2007 Season (last year):

Congratulations to our Central Catholic All Star Selections; Julie Davis, Kasey McAteer, Sam McClay and Jess Sullivan.

The Girls and Boys Lacrosse team faced off in their first ever Powder Puff game. The Girls were led by Brook Lally who posted her first goal of the season.

Congratulations on a great season. We worked hard this year and it showed on the field. I hope everyone enjoyed playing and I am already looking forward to next year. We will have an end of the party and Play the boys in the coming weeks. I will keep you updated via the web and email. Thanks...Coach McClay.

Congratulations to the Boys Lacrosse team with their big win yesterday...They are the conference Champs!

We came up just short in our come back attempt vs. A/C...great effort in our 12-10 loss.

Team:

What a great game today…out of every one we have played both Coach Aisner feel this was our best, not only by the girls on the field but also by the support from our bench. We are a very young team (in terms of being together…just under 8 weeks). We believe that this game is the one we need to remember. We gave St. Mary’s their toughest game to date and nearly ended their undefeated season.

Girls – We need to take this into our next game. We can and will take it to A/C on Monday. We need to win two out of three games and we are in the tournament, but no matter what happens we need to remember these moments of greatness; Our first game ever…a tie, Our first win in Archies Girls lacrosse history vs. Bishop Fenwick and today’s game vs. St. Mary’s!

I am very proud of each and everyone one of you. You have done GREAT things in such a short time…We have one week left in the regular season and lets shoot for the post season.

Thanks for everyone’s effort and support,

Coach McClay
